After we produced a web promo (below) for Motorpool, they asked us to produce a 30 second spot that they could use for broadcast advertisement. Since Motorpool has such a loyal following in the Bay Area, we thought it was only fitting that we enlisted the help of some of the most well liked bands in the south bay. We had Relapse act as the customers alongside Gabriel Maciel of the band, The Trims, who played the service tech. Gabe is pressured by the band to cut them a deal in exchange for a jingle. We titled the commercial, Rock for Trade.

Why is Motorpool so Awesome? This video provides several answers to that question. We wanted this comedic web video to convey a few different points about Motorpool: They're fun, approachable people, they are offering a promotional deal, and they take great care of their customers and community. We shot the first half of the promo in the shop. The second night, we filmed the band, Relapse performing "The Motorpool Song". In post production we created a damaged VHS look for a cheesy, local access style intro, and some slick motion graphics for the call to action at the end.
